Film Fund Submissions

At Rainbows Edge Films we help finance filmmakers who have great vision and a unique story tell.

We are looking for projects that tell strong, cinematic stories, have a clear point of view and artistic vision. We do not accept films with excessive violence, horror or excessive sexual content.

Through our film fund, we invest in five to ten projects a year, with budgets under $5,000,000. If you are working on a feature-length narrative and are looking for funding, we welcome you to submit a Letter of Inquiry.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you accepting submissions for documentary films?
No. Unfortunately, we are not currently accepting documentary projects.
Do you accept short films?
No. At this time we are only able to accept submissions for feature-length narrative films.
Do you accept international films?
We welcome films from filmmakers in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Do you accept submissions from first time filmmakers?
Absolutely. We accept submissions from filmmakers at any stage in their career.
What stage should my film be in to be considered?
We are interested in submission of films in all stages of production, once you have a completed script. You are welcome to submit a Letter of Inquiry at any stage.
When is the deadline for the Letter of Inquiry?
We do not have a deadline. We accept LOIs year-round on a rolling basis, and review projects as they come in.
What is the average amount that Rainbow’s Edge commits to a project?
Our funding range varies depending on the individual film and the funding already in place. We are interested in films that have an overall budget of $700,000 up to $5,000,000.
How long will it take for you to review my film?
Once you submit a LOI, we will get back to you in 2 to 4 weeks with a reply. If you are invited to submit a full proposal it may take 4 to 6 weeks for us to review the submission. We may ask for additional materials at any point.
Can you look at my trailer and let me know if I should apply?
Unfortunately, no. Since we receive a large number of inquiries, we can only screen your material if we have invited you to submit a full proposal.

Letter of Inquiry

If you are interested in applying to our film fund, please send a Letter of Inquiry via email to submissions@rainbowsedgefilms.com. Please submit the LOI as an attachment in a .pdf format. The LOI should include:

R

Logline and short synopsis

R

Background on the film team: directors, producers and any key crew

R

Information about the stage of the project

R

Total budget amount and the financing raised so far (include a list of funding sources to date)

** Note:  Please do not send a full script. We are not responsible for any copyrighted materials and materials will not be returned.

Our team will respond to your LOI in 2-4 weeks. If you are invited to submit a full proposal, we will follow up with you directly with next steps.
